Silent Vigil Day II

It has come to my attention that not everybody is firmiliar with Zagnuts. I would compare their candy relevance to a Clark bar or a Zero, maybe even a box of Crows or Wax Lips perhaps.

A Word About Injustice

A great injustice has been done. Its a good bet all of us has a vending machine at work or school. Imagine the horror if the vending Gods were to replace your favorite letter/number combo with something from the land of mis-fit candies...

This is the gripping reality that faced my good friend Jered today (check out his blog). His favorite candy of choice (Snickers.... mmmm satisfying) was mercilessly abducted and replaced with a Zagnut.

Yup, a Zagnut. (When was the last time you enjoyed the scrumptiousness of a creamy Zagnut?)

I am going to start a silent protest until the Zagnut is brought down. I might actually call my congressman.

Seriously now...

Someone asked me how I could joke about church/religion. My response was simple: I don't take organized religion, the church, Christians or myself seriously. I am seriously passionate about Jesus Christ and relating how He has affected my life, but I am perfectly ok with light-heartedly poking fun at the flawed man-made systems we've created like a 3 year-old's finger painting on God's refrigerator door.

Just outside Aztec, NM we passed Abbys personal hell-on earth. A yard full of every possible tackey yard inflaitables ever made.

Roots

So far my trip to New Mexico has been a very holistic experience. Culturally I engaged in local sketch theatre. Environmentally i've returned to my roots.  Simple things that I use to do for conservation.  When brushing you teeth or washing your hands turn off the water until you need it.  When you live in an area where conservation is key to your immediate survival, the environment is at the forefront of your thinking.  Hopefully I can bring some of these concepts back to my mid-western life.

The Santa Cause

It seems to me that the concept of "being good" around the holidays to get into Santa's good list is a vital life lesson since people usually recieve raises that are based on their performance evaluations given around the New Year at work. Prompting people to be extra nice during the Holiday Season.

Adult issues

I think the biggest reason I don't go into Adult Bookstores is because I'm afraid I'll see someone I know. I'm not sure if it would be more embarassing that I saw them ... or that they saw me. Not to mention if I caught a glimpse of the carefully selected items they were about to purchase...
